The type of editing on any images is dictated to by, who or what the image is for. If we are shooting for families or just simple portraits then we touch up blemish’s, remove stray hairs and bring out the eye’s and detail in the hair. Also depending on the type of pose we pull in tummies or put the arch back in to the back. We are not slimming the body, rather than taking away the place that a pose will push out. For fashion or glamour portraits a more intense approach to editing is taken but we still want to keep the image looking real and not plastic by over post-editing the image. Fine art or editorial portraiture is a little more dramatic depending of the feel of the image you are trying to achieve.
